While we all love earning badges to put on the front of our vest. It is just as much fun to participate in events, activities, and programs to earn fun patches for the back of our vest.

Today’s Fun Patch Post will cover everything for your Christmas fun needs and are all from a amazing company called Advantage Emblem and Screen Printing.

Christmas Parade

A fun way to celebrate Christmas with your troop is to sign up for a Christmas Parade in your area. Depending on the size of your troop you could pair up with your Service unit and have one float for all the girls in your area. Have everyone bring Christmas Decorations to the loading spot a hour before parade starts and have fun decorating the float. Additionally you could have girls bring bags of candy to hand out to kids watching the parade.

Now that you have been in your local Christmas Parade. Add a fun patch to your vest.

Bell Ringing

If your girls are interested in helping collect money to help others as a bell ringer. The funds raised in each community are dedicated to best serve the people in that community who are recovering from many kinds of personal disasters. Here is the link for the Salvation Army where you can find out how to volunteer in your area.

Now that you have had fun ringing the bell to help others you can get your girls each a fun patch for the activity.

Christmas Adopt a Family

One of the most thoughtful things you can do during the Christmas season is to a adopt a family in need. It could be someone that goes to your local church, or you can contact your local shelter to get the name and information about a family in your community. Have your girls each bring in one thing to wrap and give to that family. We have even done a gently used toy drive to help a family with kids who can’t afford to buy for their children at Christmas. The girls can go home and find one toy that is in good to great condition that they want to give to some other little girl this holiday season.
